MANGALURU, KARNATAKA, INDIA 44-year-old fisherman suffered fatal injuries while working on a fishing boat. While hauling in a large net, he became entangled in it, and the enormous force acting on the net completely tore off his left leg at the hip. The accident also caused extensive damage to his muscles and major blood vessels.
The man suffered massive blood loss and died while being transported to the hospital. An autopsy determined the cause of death to be severe hemorrhaging caused by ruptured major blood vessels.
