Garbage truck worker dies after bus crashes into vehicle

LIMA, PERU – APRIL 21, 2026 Municipal sanitation worker died after a public transportation bus collided with a garbage collection truck on Avenida Revolución in the Villa El Salvador district. The man was in the rear of the truck at the time of the accident. According to a local municipal official, the bus traveling at high speed may have contributed to the accident. The bus driver, Gian Carlos Campos Cárdenas, was subsequently detained.
