FORTALEZA, CEARÁ, BRAZIL – MAY 6, 2026 42-year-old Ozeas Nunes dos Santos died after losing control of a repaired ATV during a test ride and crashing head-on into a pole. The accident occurred on Avenida Presidente Castelo Branco, known as Leste-Oeste.
Ozeas worked as a driver through apps and earned extra money as a mechanic. The owner of a car wash hired him to repair the ATV, which he subsequently planned to sell. After completing the repairs, Ozeas decided to take the vehicle for a test ride to make sure it was functioning properly. During the ride, however, he reportedly lost control and crashed into a pole.
Ozeas was not wearing a helmet while riding. The impact caused severe head injuries, with his skull reportedly fracturing and brain tissue being exposed. He died at the scene. He was married and had three children.
