IPU, CEARÁ, BRAZIL – JULY 22, 2025 54-year-old Tomaz Aurélio Rodrigues Aragão died after being electrocuted in the Nova Aldeota neighborhood. According to preliminary information, the accident occurred while he was working on a power pole. He was apparently attempting an illegal electricity connection. It was later revealed that he had worked as a technician for a power company, but had been retired for several years at the time of his death.
Witnesses said the electric shock was immediate and unexpected. According to them, there was absolutely no time to save him. The emergency medical team that was called to the scene could only confirm his death.
