MANAUS, BRAZIL – AUGUST 26, 2023 A man witnessed a horrific event when a car driver lost control of his vehicle and drove into the Avenida Coronel Teixeira bus stop near the Restauração Church, where he ran over his 46-year-old wife right in front of his eyes.

Her stomach was completely crushed and, according to other witnesses, she died on the spot. The man was left in shock, crying and screaming as he held his dead wife’s body. He shouted, “Don’t leave! Don’t leave me my love.”
The driver of the car fled the scene. Despite an extensive police search, it has not been possible to catch him to this day.
