PERADENIYA, SRI LANKA – JUNE 3, 2017 Tharindi Wijesiriwardena, an employee of Peradeniya University, was hit by the Colombo-Badulla Podimenike express train. The train cut her head off. There is speculation whether it was an accident or a suicide. The railroad bridge where it happened is often used by people to shorten their journey.
