SANTA CRUZ DO CAPIBARIBE, PERNAMBUCO, BRAZIL – MAY 22, 2026 Violent attack occurred in which a man was stabbed in the neck during a scuffle in the Santo Agostinho district. According to initial information, he was attacked by an unknown assailant with a bladed weapon and suffered serious injuries.
The injured man was quickly transported to a nearby medical facility, but his current condition has not been disclosed. The identity of the victim has not yet been officially confirmed.
Police are investigating the case and it is still unclear what the motive of the attack was or who the perpetrator is. The area was closed off after the incident due to forensic work and no suspect has yet been detained.
