CAMBODIA The young man had been struggling for a long time with a tumour in his mouth, which gradually deformed his entire face. Over time, he found it harder and harder to eat. At school he was laughed at and people on the street were scared of him. At the age of 18, he decided to end it all and hanged himself.
The sad fact is that in a country with a well-developed health care system, it would only take one operation to live a full life. In Cambodia, medical care is an almost unaffordable luxury for poor people.
