The victims were identified as 46-year-old Josileide Galdino da Silva (mother), 25-year-old Aparecida Larissa Galdino da Silva (daughter), and 29-year-old Alysson Bezerra da Silva (Aparecida’s partner). Aparecida and Alysson had a two-year-old son together, who was inside the house at the time of the attack. The attackers spared his life.
Although police have not been able to fully determine the motive for the attack to this day, the primary investigative theory from the beginning has been drug trafficking.
