LAGOS, NIGERIA – NOVEMBER 27, 2018 Two brothers, Ayodeji Obadimeji, 18, and Saheed Obadimeji, 19, cut off the head of a 10-year-old boy. By chance, a police patrol noticed them tampering with a human head and arrested them both for murder.
They confessed under interrogation to having been hired by a Sodiq Abefe to provide a human head. They said they were paid NGN 200,000 (equivalent to USD 120. They further testified that Sodiq wanted to use the head for ritual purposes. They allegedly lured the boy with a can of Coca-Cola. His head was cut off with a knife while he was fully conscious.
The victim has been identified by his distraught parents as Joseph Makinde. Police have also managed to track down the person who ordered the murder of Sodiq Abefe. He has been brought to trial along with the killers.
