ATLÁNTICO, COLOMBIA – JUNE 13, 2025 On the second kilometer of the road linking Polonuevo and the village of Pitalito, 23-year-old Anuar Silvera Alvarado lost his life when his motorcycle struck a parked van.

Following the impact, Silvera Alvarado was left severely injured on the road. Emergency responders rushed him to Clínica Reina Catalina in Baranoa, where medical staff attempted to stabilize him. Sadly, he passed away shortly after being admitted.
Authorities are still investigating the incident. One prevailing theory suggests that the van driver may have parked improperly on the road without proper safety markings, violating legal requirements and potentially contributing to the fatal crash.
