BONAO, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC – JANUARY 26, 2015 The corpse of 13-year-old Deyanira García Sosa was found dumped in the bushes after she had been missing for a day when she failed to return home from the Bonao Carnival parade.

According to some reports, she had been raped and murdered by members of her family, namely her 25-year-old uncle Hanller Mejía Vásquez and her 72-year-old grandmother Rufina Antonia Vásquez. Both were sentenced to prison for this crime.
