LAKE TELETSKOYE, RUSSIA – FEBRUARY 12, 2017 In the middle of the night, a Robinson P-66 helicopter crashed on the frozen surface of Lake Teletskoye. None of the passengers survived the accident. In addition to them, a ram, which was unfortunately at the place of impact, died.
The investigation found that Anatoly Bannykh was among the passengers. He was the most influential man in the area and a very wealthy businessman. Apart from him, there were other VIPs on board: HeliClub CEO Maria Kosintseva; base jumper and athlete Gleb Vorevodin. The rescue operation lasted more than 24 hours due to bad weather. Temperatures were less than minus 30 degrees Celsius (minus 22 fahrenheit).
