FEIRA DE SANTANA, BRAZIL – MAY 13, 2021 A 24-year-old woman identified as Juciene Sampaio Bastos was shot in cold blood in the Travessa Artur de Assis neighbourhood outside her home. She was shot 10 times in the back, head and buttocks. The shooter fled the scene. His motive was believed to be a comment made by the girl, where she made negative comments about the man’s death.

Police found 300 grams of mariuhana in her house. She was allegedly recruited by a local drug gang she worked for on the side. The negative comment she posted on social media about the man’s death sparked hostility from the rival gang of which the man was a member.
