BALINGASAG, MISAMIS ORIENTAL, PHILIPPINES – MARCH 10, 2017 30-year-old third-year college student (some sources say she was 20 years old) , Cherrymae “Inday” Dal Dayo, was ambushed on a night street by a group of five troublemakers. They first sexually harassed her and then stabbed her. There were even two girls in their group, who watched and participated in the whole thing. Some sources say that she was gang-raped, but others say that they just sexually harassed her.

Cherrymae survived the stabbing and waited in a pool of her own blood for long minutes for help. When a random passerby noticed her, he immediately gave her first aid and called paramedics. But she died a day later in hospital.
Justice prevailed in this case and all the perpetrators were arrested by the police and punished by the strict justice system of the Philippines. They are namely: 24 year old Warren Amarga (considered the leader of the group and the main actor), 22 year old Joel Jonson, 22 year old Angela Mae Rada, 18 year old Joan Escalante and 17 year old Kevin.
