ALTINOVA, ANTALYA, TURKEY – OCTOBER 12, 2023 Tragic incident occurred in Antalya, where Kıvanç Şensöz (31) brutally attacked florist Eşref Yunus Yıldırıcı (29). The attack was triggered by a photo of Şensöz’s wife shared on social media, which he deemed inappropriate. Despite apologies from Yıldırıcı’s family, Şensöz stormed into a flower warehouse and assaulted the victim with punches and kicks. Yıldırıcı suffered severe head injuries, including brain hemorrhaging, and was hospitalized. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
The assault was captured on security cameras, showing Şensöz knocking the victim to the ground and repeatedly attacking him. The perpetrator was detained and charged. Yıldırıcı’s family stated that they tried to resolve the conflict through apologies, but Şensöz responded aggressively and issued threats. The tragedy has deeply affected the victim’s loved ones, who hope the attacker will receive an appropriate sentence.
