LAHORE, PUNJAB, PAKISTAN – FEBRUARY 7, 2019 22-year-old woman was found hanged in her home while in the 8th month of pregnancy. What initially appeared to be a suicide revealed an even more horrifying truth.
The victim
As it turned out, doctors had informed the woman and her husband as early as the 4th month of her pregnancy that the baby would be female. Her husband refused to accept this and demanded an abortion, which she did not agree to. This led to a series of frequent and recurring arguments.
During one of these arguments, her husband lost control and strangled her. When he realized what he had done, out of fear of legal consequences, he tried to stage the murder as a suicide and arranged her dead body on a noose.
The suicide theory was immediately disproven by forensic experts during the autopsy. The husband became the primary suspect. When police detained him, he confessed to everything.
