NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK, USA – APRIL 27, 2026 31-year-old man was shot several times during a robbery in the Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn. The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. on 58th Street near Ninth Avenue.
According to the police investigation, the assailant attempted to rob the man. When the victim resisted and refused to hand over his money, the perpetrator shot him several times. He then stole the victim’s cell phone, wallet, and approximately $300.
The injured man sustained gunshot wounds to the abdomen and leg and was transported to Maimonides Medical Center in critical condition.
Police later released footage of the suspects as part of an investigation into a series of violent robberies in the area. Investigators were examining possible links between several cases that occurred from late March through late April.
