RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – JANUARY 6, 2023 A 31-year-old man, Daniel Mascarenhas Xavier da Silva, who made a living as a tourist guide, was ambushed by two armed women on a motorcycle. One was holding a pistol, the other was armed with a knife. First he handed the women his backpack. However, the woman demanded that he also hand over his mobile phone or wallet. But Xavier responded to this by attacking the thieves. He fought with them for some time, during which the woman with the knife hit him several times. He then left, but fell to the ground a few meters later and died.
