LIMA, PERU – DECEMBER, 2011 The family was asleep in their house when gunmen burst in and started the massacre. They used knives and firearms to murder the 49-year-old mother, Arcadia Raymundo Gómez, and her three daughters, Margarita Pérez Gómez, 19, Sandra Pérez Gómez, 16, and Antolina Pérez Gómez, 8. It was established that Sandra, 16, had been raped. Her body was found half-naked.
