PERAMPALLI, KARNATAKA, INDIA – MARCH 17, 2026 Security camera captured the moment when a heavy mobile crane suddenly veered off its path and swept away an unsuspecting pedestrian from behind. At that moment, the man was walking along the shoulder of the road near a local cooperative and had no chance to react to the approaching machine in time.
Immediately after the collision, witnesses rushed to help the victim, and the injured man was transported in serious condition to a hospital in Manipal, where he had to undergo surgery. Police subsequently launched an investigation to determine whether the accident was caused by a mechanical failure of the crane’s braking system or fatal inattention by the driver.
