Student slashed girl’s throat when she rejected his marriage proposal

MANSURA, EGYPT – JUNE, 2022 A university student at the Faculty of Philosophy, Mohamed Adel, in the city of Mansura proposed to his classmate Nayera Ashraf. She rejected him and he decided to get revenge on her.

He caught her in the street with a knife in her hand and cut her throat. The entire act was witnessed by university students. Although they managed to stop the man relatively early, it was already too late. Nayera died on the way to the hospital. Mohamed Adel was sentenced to death for his act.
