SALVADOR, BAHIA, BRAZIL – OCTOBER 6, 2025 Gruesome footage shows the daily cruelty and violence that gangsters and traffickers in Brazil face almost every day. A trafficker finishes off his dying rival with several shots from a POV perspective. The incident took place in the Águas Claras neighborhood on Rua da Palha.
The Águas Claras district has previously been labeled as one of the most dangerous areas of an already perilous city like Salvador. The murder rate in this district reaches up to 90 per 100,000 inhabitants per year (compared to the Salvador-wide average of 66 per 100,000 inhabitants annually). The violence in this area is primarily driven by organized gangs clashing and competing for power.
