KUPANG, INDONESIA – APRIL 14, 2024 Dewi Radja, a 21-year-old student, was studying English at Kupang University. She was staying in a student dormitory there when her boyfriend found her dead.
He testified that the day before, he and his sister had gone clothes shopping together. Afterwards, they all had dinner and he dropped her off at her dorm. When she did not respond to his call or knock on the door the next day, he decided to forcefully enter her room. He discovered her dressed and urinating on her bed. When he tried to shake her, she was cold and stiff.
For the police, the boyfriend was logically the first suspect because he was the last person to see her alive and the first to see her dead. But interviews with Dewi’s friends revealed that she often suffered from epileptic seizures, which she did nothing to address. They also mentioned that she had urinated on them. The case was closed that she had died of an epileptic seizure.
